The Red Ribbon Campaign helps present a unified and visible commitment towards the creation of a DRUG-FREE AMERICA. In Mahwah, it enables local D.A.R.E. officers to extend an anti-drug message down into the elementary schools.
Each year at Mahwah Day, the MMA Booth distributes free of charge approximately 500 helmets to the citizens of Mahwah. Visit the MMA booth at Mahwah Day on Sept. 19, 2015 and get a FREE bicycle helmet for your child.
The Mahwah Junior Police Academy is targeted at students entering the 6th grade who have completed the first year of the Mahwah D.A.R.E Program. Approximately, 150 children participated in the 2014 program.
A celebration event for our 5th graders completing the first year of the DARE program; it rewards their attention, effort and knowledge.
The Mahwah Youth Leadership Academy, introduced in 2007, was designed as a follow-on program for the highly popular Junior Police Academy and is taught and run by the Mahwah Police Department.
